GROUNDBREAKING

IN THE CAPITAL CITY OF THE ARCHIPELAGO (IKN).
PT Sirius Surya Sentosa of Vasanta Group, officially initiated the groundbreaking ceremony in the capital city of the archipelago, IKN. The groundbreaking event was graced by the presence of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on this Saturday, the 23rd of September 2023. President Jokowi tweeted, "This morning marked the laying of the first stone for the Vasanta Hotel's construction in the Nusantara Capital area. This marks the second hotel project in IKN." He expressed his hope that this pioneering private company, which has made a commitment to contribute to IKN's development, will serve as a positive catalyst for attracting investments to the region
"I express my optimism that an array of new facilities and infrastructure, such as hotels, hospitals, universities, and safari parks, will continue to flourish within IKN. I extend my gratitude to the dedicated investors who have channeled their capital into these endeavors," remarked Jokowi. It is worth noting that Vasanta's commitment to bolstering infrastructure within IKN was initially unveiled following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between PT Sirius Surya Sentosa and PT Bina Karya (Persero), who serve as Authorized Business Entities (BUO). This momentous agreement took place at the Saumata 1 Office in Alam Sutera, Tangerang, on Wednesday, the 21st of June 2023.

Nicholas Hum, the CEO of Vasanta Group, shared his thoughts, saying, "It was a great privilege to stand beside President Jokowi of Indonesia. Vasanta Group, like many others, has witnessed the advantages of Indonesia's unwavering dedication to infrastructure development. This has enabled us to come together in pursuit of the national vision, as we proudly participate in the establishment, approximately over 2 hectares of a 5 star hotel in IKN."

Reflecting on the moment, he drew inspiration from a Chinese proverb, remarking, "There's a Chinese proverb that resonates with me now more than ever: 'How I wish our discussion could have lasted longer,' as I yearn for deeper insights. I eagerly anticipate witnessing the growth and development of our new capital."
